- Fall Semester: 14 classes (mid-Sept to mid-Dec)
- Spring Semester: 14 classes (Feb to May)
- Summer Immersion: 14 classes over 3 weeks.
All Seed Pod classes are 75 minutes long.
Students can enroll in:
- Individual Courses
- Two-Student Courses
- Three-Student Courses
Our group classes are thoughtfully matched by age, learning style, and personal interests.

What Students and Parents Are Saying
How the Seed Pod Helps Students Grow
Wisdom Over Information
We focus on developing deeply human capacities: compassion, self-awareness, and the ability to see how our choices ripple across nested systems—from self to family to planet.
Inspiring Mentorship
Students are accompanied by steady, caring adults who see them, track their growth, and celebrate their gifts.
Deep Self-Discovery
We never hand students ready-made answers or push them towards particular conclusions. Instead, we create space for them to explore different beliefs and forge their own truths.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Seed Pod is for young people ages 12–20 who are curious about themselves and the world, and who are looking for more than information alone. Our students include homeschoolers as well as students attending public and private schools. Seed Pod may be a good fit for your child if they would benefit from meaningful conversation, individualized attention, and space to explore big questions about purpose, identity, and their place in the world.
Each 75-minute class invites students into a fascinating topic, question, or story—from the origins of the cosmos to the forces that shape our beliefs, attention, choices, and sense of purpose. Through guided conversation, reflection, and thoughtful inquiry, students develop a richer understanding of the world and their own lives within it. Rather than simply giving answers, we help students learn how to ask better questions and discover insights for themselves.
Individual mentorship offers a highly personalized learning experience, with each class shaped around one student’s questions, interests, and growth. Small cohorts bring together two or three thoughtfully matched students, creating an intimate setting for shared inquiry and meaningful conversation. Cohorts are matched by age, learning style, and interests so that each student can be both supported and challenged.
Yes. The Seed Pod is designed to complement any educational path—public, private, or nontraditional. Our classes offer space for the kinds of deep questions, meaningful connection, and self-discovery that can be difficult to find in a conventional school schedule. Students can bring what they are learning and experiencing elsewhere into the conversation.
We offer online classes for students worldwide, as well as in-person classes in the Asheville, North Carolina area. This makes it possible for students to join the Seed Pod community wherever they live, while giving local families the option of learning together in person.
Seed Pod serves students ages 12–20, and we take care to create learning environments that feel appropriate and engaging for each student. For small cohorts, we consider age, learning style, and interests when matching students. If you are unsure which course or format is right for your child, we would be happy to talk with you about their needs and help you decide.
Tuition covers a full semester of 14 classes over 16 weeks, with each class lasting 75 minutes. Individual mentorship is $2,100 per student; two-student cohorts are $1,300 per student; and three-student cohorts are $1,000 per student. Flexible monthly payment plans are available.
Start by getting in touch and telling us a little about your child: their age, interests, educational path, and what you hope they might gain from Seed Pod. We can answer your questions, help you explore whether the program is a good fit, and guide you toward the course and format that best supports your child.
Is the Seed Pod right for your child?
Every young person is different. We’d be delighted to learn about your child, answer your questions, and help you decide whether Seed Pod is the right fit for your family.
Why the Seed Pod?
For billions of years, plants have relied on seed pods to carry what matters most into the future—protecting fragile beginnings until the time is right for them to take root. At The Seed Pod, our mission is to do the same: not with grains or beans, but with seeds of wisdom, wonder, and resilience.
We hope you’ll join us in passing these seeds forward, so that our children can flourish in a vibrant world.
